Welcome to MindMaths
MindMaths is an online learning platform designed to support learners
across multiple grades and subjects. It provides learning activities,
questions, quizzes, flashcards, study tools and other interactive
learning features.

Quick Start
1. Open MindMaths
Visit the MindMaths website in a modern web browser and sign in using your learner details.
For the best experience, use an up-to-date version of: - Google Chrome -
Microsoft Edge - Mozilla Firefox
2. Sign up / Log in
When using MindMaths for the first time:
1. Enter your learner details.
2. Select the grade you are enrolled in.
3. Save or continue.
Your details are automatically linked to the grade selected during
registration.
3. Open your grade
Select the grade you registered for. Your learner information should
automatically populate on your selected grade.
4. Choose a subject
Select the subject and learning area you want to study.
5. Start learning
Depending on the grade and subject, you may have access to: - Learning
activities - Practice questions - Quizzes - Flashcards - Game-style
activities - Study tools - Progress features

Login and Learner Profile
Q: I am using MindMaths for the first time. What should I do?
Complete the first-time learner registration and select the grade you
are currently enrolled in.
Q: Will my details automatically appear in my grade?
Yes. Your learner details are synchronised with the grade selected
during first-time registration.
Q: My details do not appear. What should I do?
Try the following:
1. Return to the MindMaths home page.
2. Confirm that you registered successfully.
3. Confirm that you selected the correct grade.
4. Close and reopen MindMaths.
5. Return to the grade you selected during registration.
If the problem continues, contact your teacher or the person responsible
for installing MindMaths.
Q: Why are my details not appearing in another grade?
Your details are automatically linked to the grade selected during
registration. This prevents information from automatically overwriting
learner profiles in other grades.

Flashcards
Q: How do I use Flashcards?
Open the Flashcards section from the available subject or grade page.
Read the question or concept and interact with the card to review the
answer or related information.
Q: Flashcards are not responding. What should I do?
Try:
1. Refreshing the page.
2. Closing and reopening MindMaths.
3. Opening MindMaths in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
4. Avoiding private/incognito mode if your browser blocks local
storage.
If the issue continues, report the grade, subject and exact Flashcard
that is not working.

Questions and Quizzes
Q: Can I practise more than once?
Yes. Where a question generator or practice feature is available, you
can repeat activities to continue practising.
Q: Why do I see a question again?
Some activities use question banks and generated variations. Depending
on the available content, a question or similar concept may occasionally
reappear.
Q: My answer is marked incorrect. What should I do?
Check:
- Spelling and typing
- Units of measurement
- Mathematical signs
- Decimal points
- Whether the question requires a whole number, fraction or another
format
Use the explanation or review feature when available.

AI Tutor
Q: What does the AI Tutor do?
The AI Tutor is intended to provide learning support and guidance where
the feature is enabled.
Q: I cannot see the AI Tutor button.
The feature may not be available on every page or in every learning
activity. Return to the main dashboard or relevant learning section and
check whether the feature is enabled there.
Q: Does the AI Tutor replace my teacher?
No. MindMaths is a learning support tool. Teachers and official
learning materials remain important sources of instruction and
assessment guidance.

Saving and Progress
Q: Does MindMaths save my information?
MindMaths can store learner information and progress locally depending
on the feature being used and the version installed.
Q: What happens if I clear my browser data?
Clearing browser storage may remove locally stored learner details and
progress. Avoid clearing browser data unless necessary.
Q: Can I use MindMaths on another computer?
If learner information is stored locally, it may not automatically
transfer to another device. Your school or administrator may need to
provide an export, import or account-based solution.

Technical Help
Q: A button does nothing.
Try:
1. Refresh the page.
2. Close and reopen MindMaths.
3. Try another supported browser.
4. Disable browser extensions that may block scripts.
5. Check that the complete MindMaths folder structure has not been
changed.
Do not move individual files out of the MindMaths folder unless
instructed to do so.
Q: Can I delete files from the MindMaths folder?
It is not recommended. MindMaths pages may depend on files stored
elsewhere in the package. Deleting or moving files can cause buttons,
activities or navigation to stop working.
Q: Can I rename the folders?
No. Renaming folders can break links between pages and resources.
Q: Can I use MindMaths without an internet connection?
MindMaths is an online platform. An internet connection is required for the hosted service and online features.

Troubleshooting Checklist
Before reporting a problem, please try:
- Restart MindMaths.
- Refresh the current page.
- Check that you are using the correct grade.
- Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Make sure the complete MindMaths folder/package remains intact.
- Do not rename or move application folders.
- Record the grade, subject and feature where the problem occurred.
When reporting a problem, include:
1. Your grade

Parent Dashboard
The Parent Dashboard provides a learning-support view of available progress, strengths, weaknesses, time/activity indicators, XP, level, streaks and recent activity.
Q: Is it an official school report?
No. During beta it is a learning-support view and does not replace official school reports.
Teacher Portal
The Teacher Portal supports beta workflows for creating classes, assigning homework, reviewing trends and preparing custom test blueprints. Teachers remain responsible for confirming formal assessment requirements.
Q: Can teachers generate custom tests?
Yes. Teachers can prepare custom test blueprints with scope, mark totals and cognitive-demand balance.
XP, Levels, Streaks and Daily Missions
MindMaths uses XP, levels, streaks and daily missions to encourage regular learning. These engagement indicators are not official academic marks.
Q: What is a daily mission?
A small learning goal intended to support regular “little and often” practice.
Enhanced AI Tutor
Q: Can I upload a photo of a question?
Where supported, upload a clear image of a handwritten or printed problem for AI-assisted guidance.
Q: Can I ask using my voice?
Voice-to-text is available in compatible browsers and converts your spoken question into text.
Q: Why does the AI Tutor ask me another question?
The tutor may ask a checking question or suggest similar practice to verify understanding and support adaptive learning.
Q: Does the AI replace my teacher?
No. MindMaths AI is a learning-support tool and does not replace teacher guidance or formal assessment feedback.
Demo Experience
The demo previews the learner experience and selected platform features. Demo content may use sample data and is not a record of real learner progress.
MindMaths Quest Engine
The Quest Engine turns learning activity into a progression journey with subject worlds, progressive quests, adaptive challenges, weakness-informed boss battles, XP, levels and unlockable engagement rewards.
Q: What is a weakness boss?
A weakness boss is a targeted learning challenge connected to a topic where available performance data suggests more practice is needed. It is not an official school assessment mark.
Q: Does the AI Game Master mark official answers?
No. The AI is intended to guide, encourage, provide hints and ask checking questions. Curriculum and verified subject logic remain responsible for answer correctness and assessment rules.
Q: What are subject worlds?
Subject worlds provide themed learning environments, such as the Kingdom of Numbers or Quantum Frontier. They change the experience, not the curriculum requirements.
Parent Dashboard — Visual Mastery Journey
The Parent Dashboard now shows available progress as a visual learning journey, including accuracy, XP, level, streak, daily goal activity, topic mastery, strengths, weaknesses, recent activity and quest progress.
Q: Can parents see the learner's next mission?
Yes. Available weaker topics are presented as potential next learning missions so progress can be discussed constructively.
Q: Can progress be shared?
Where supported, a short progress summary can be shared through the device sharing feature or copied to the clipboard.
Q: Is the Parent Dashboard an official report card?
No. During beta, it is a learning-support view and does not replace official school reports.
Teacher Portal — Early Intervention and Quest Planning
The Teacher Portal supports class creation, homework assignment, linked learner snapshots in the current browser, class trends, early intervention prompts and teacher challenge codes.
Q: How does early intervention work?
The portal highlights available lower performance and weak topics so a teacher can plan targeted revision, a weakness quest or a checking activity. Teacher judgement remains essential.
Q: What is a challenge code?
A challenge code is a shareable identifier for a teacher-created learning challenge. In the current beta implementation, it is locally scoped until authenticated server-side participation is enabled.
Q: Are live class leaderboards available across devices?
Not authoritatively yet. True cross-device school and class analytics require authenticated accounts, secure server-side storage and access controls.
Beta Data and Privacy Notice
Quest, dashboard and class analytics may use browser-local data. Clearing browser storage or changing devices can affect locally stored information. MindMaths should not claim authoritative cross-device reporting or official school analytics until secure account-based synchronisation has been implemented and tested.
